How we reconnect is a personal thing and everyone will have their preferred ways of doing so. The amount of time is not necessarily important, rather it is what we do that matters and using your senses has been shown to be an effective first step in reconnecting with nature.
SENSORY ACTIVITIES TO TRY
Feel the touch of grass or sand on your bare feet.
Touch the bark of a tree, a flower or leaf and note the sensation you experience
Breathe in the smell of a forest, flowers or the sea
Taste food you have grown
Listen to the calls of birds or animals
